Supporting NG9-1-1 in over half the population in California

Interoperability was key in California’s migration to NG9-1-1. Because of the state’s unique topography and the potential for natural disasters, the state wanted multiple vendors and networks to provide services to this great state, and we all had to work together to go live with a statewide NG9-1-1 upgrade.

Operating NG9-1-1 Flawlessly in Massachusetts Since 2016

Synergem’s ESRP/PRF, responsible for ensuring calls get routed correctly, was crucial to the migration strategy that brought this system online. First, the real-time geo location of the caller is detected. Then the call is transmitted to the correct PSAP. In addition, a complex set of instructions were designed to support 3-deep failover in case of PSAP unavailability.

Synergem provided a Legacy Selective Router Gateway to support the migration to NG9-1-1.
