Next Generation 9-1-1 solutions allow more agency interoperability. With communication at an all time high, response times improve dramatically. With any new system, challenges arise that need to be addressed and resolved quickly. This all-star panel of members of the Industry Council for Emergency Communications Technologies (iCERT) will discuss the upgrade from a legacy network to Next Generation 9-1-1 and the integration of various components. They will discuss how PSAPs have made the migration and the various mechanisms used, as well as, what’s next for the federal funding and regaining traction at the national level.
